New Refrigeration Warehouse, Maintenance Building & Pump House
Gettle provided complete electrical installation for Turkey Hill Dairy’s new refrigerated beverage warehouse and maintenance facility located along the Susquehanna river, in Conestoga, PA. The overall project was broken into three main phases: the cooler/warehouse, maintenance facility, and pump house. The 95,000 square-foot cooler/ refrigerated warehouse, including a 10,000 square-foot office space, replaced Turkey Hill’s existing 34,000 square feet of refrigerated storage. Not only does the new refrigerated warehouse provide more linear storage, it is also 40 feet tall to allow for more vertical storage.
In addition to the new warehouse, a 35,000 square-foot fleet maintenance garage was built as part of the project. It features drive-through service bays, a truck wash and fuel pumps.
A separate pump house was added on the grounds to provide additional water storage for the complex. It consists of a 1,200 square-foot building containing general lighting, pumps, and miscellaneous equipment.
This installation included a 4000 amp main electrical service with five switchboards supplying power to extensive conveyor and refrigeration equipment, truck wash equipment, lighting, devices, HVAC equipment, and 18 fork lift charging stations. Gettle also provided complete electrical installation for an 11,000 square-foot office area, pump house, and site lighting.
